The newly released Transparent Acrylic REP follows the same manufacturing process as the titanium version. The entire balisong is fully precision CNC machined, with the primary difference being the handle liner material. This version features skeletonized stainless steel liners paired with high-strength, high-transparency acrylic scales.
Although this upgraded acrylic material offers significantly improved hardness and transparency, there is still a risk of cracking if the balisong is accidentally dropped during flipping or subjected to excessive long-term pressure from overtightened pivot screws. For this reason, we strongly recommend leaving a slight amount of clearance when assembling and tuning the hardware.
During factory assembly and tuning, all screws are intentionally left slightly loosened rather than fully tightened. Proper clearance has already been reserved in advance, and users should keep this in mind during future maintenance and tuning.
Please note that slight deformation around the acrylic scale screw holes after prolonged compression is considered normal. When disassembling or reassembling the balisong, carefully distinguish between the male and female screw positions. The sexbolt holes are not compatible with the female screws, so improper installation should be avoided.
